WizardHunt Privacy Policy

This document was last updated on September 26, 2014.

WizardHunt is committed to protecting your privacy and to developing technology that ensures you the most rewarding online experience. While you can access most areas of WizardHunt.net without providing any personally identifiable information, you are required to provide personally identifiable information to gain access into some areas such as registering for a contest or applying for a gig. This Privacy Policy explains how WizardHunt collects and uses data. We will notify our members when we make any significant changes to our Privacy Policy that affect the use of any personally identifiable information we collect. WizardHunt reserves the right to make non-significant changes to our Privacy Policy that will not affect WizardHunt's use of a member's personally identifiable information without any notification to our members other than posting any such changes in a revised Privacy Policy on WizardHunt.net. We encourage you to occasionally review our Privacy Policy to be sure you are familiar with the most current version. The Privacy Policy will include the most recent date that any revisions were made.

Collecting Your Personal Information

We will ask you when we require personally identifiable information. Generally, this information is required when you are asked to register before entering a contest or requesting electronic notification of available contests. Personally identifiable information collected by WizardHunt includes, but is not limited to, your name, e-mail address, contact information and professional information. WizardHunt also requires that you create a password to ensure your information cannot be accessed by others. You will also be able to create a WizardHunt Alias which may be displayed on a scoreboard when you take a contest. Creating a WizardHunt Alias will allow you to be included on the scoreboards anonymously.

WizardHunt uses the WizardHunt Community as a method of allowing you to easily register for multiple WizardHunt contests. Once you create a WizardHunt Membership Profile on WizardHunt.net, your personally identifiable information is stored and registering for a contest will require only your e-mail and password to be entered in order to populate the standard WizardHunt contest registration fields. Once those fields have been filled in, you may add, edit or delete any of the information showing. Changing information on the forms affiliated with that particular contest will affect the information submitted to that contest only, not to your WizardHunt Community profile.

If you ever want to review or update your information, simply go to www.wizardhunt.net, login with your user name and password, and click on the "Edit Your Profile" under the Members tab. We recommend that you do not share your password with anyone.

Please be advised that WizardHunt periodically archives information for backup purposes.

Use of Your Personal Information

WizardHunt primarily uses your personally identifiable information for the following reasons:

  • To make it easier for you to register for multiple contests by not making you enter your personally identifiable information more than once.

  • To help us create and deliver content that suits your need.

  • To create aggregated portraits of the WizardHunt audience. These portraits present anonymous statistical demographic information but no personally identifiable information. This aggregated information is used, among other things, to supply market research to help potential advertisers, sponsors etc. understand the composition of the WizardHunt audience.

  • To alert you of contests, special offers, updated information, and other new services from WizardHunt.

  • The personally identifiable information you provide when you create your WizardHunt Community Member Profile will not be given to third parties without your consent except as stated in the section of this Privacy Policy entitled "Information Sharing Policy".

Customize Your WizardHunt Experience

When you create your WizardHunt Community Member Profile, you will be asked to check off your "Areas of Interest" and "Notifications for You". Choosing areas of interest will allow us to alert you when contests or gig opportunities suitable for you are available. You may edit your information at any time by going to www.wizardhunt.net, logging in with your user name and password, and click on the "Edit Your Profile" under the Members tab.

Security of Your Personal Information

WizardHunt ensures that your personally identifiable information is never shared outside of the company without your permission, except as explained in the section of this Privacy Policy entitled "Information Sharing Policy". Once you create a WizardHunt Community Member Profile, your information is stored on password-controlled servers with limited access. In addition, no one can see or edit your personally identifiable information without knowing your password.
